Citizens should note that a person under the age of 18 cannot marry until a state order removes the legal restrictions associated with being a minor for general purposes. Also, a divorced applicant needs to wait for at least 30 days in order to marry another person or – submit a certified copy of the divorce decree if the waiting period has been waived.
